Computer Glitch
Only to be a cat and not have to worry about computer glitches. Barney actually cuddled up under the covers the day it was raining. He was soaking wet and was so tired. I had to reboot my computer and I lost everything including setting, virus protection, cleaners, flyers, files, and all my photos. I have a feeling it was from a glitch in a windows automatic update. I am sure what I lost is somewhere in my computer. I just have to find a way to locate it. It has taken me hours just to get online so I may be scarce for a while. Thanks for reading and for all your comment

Oh no! Good luck with the recovery and thank you for the backup reminder. I don't do mine often enough.
ReplyDeleteHi Michele, thanks, apparently there is a popup ad and only that company can get rid of the virus or trojan or possibly spyware or malware and they charge $5000, so do your back up real soon, Gary said it was on the news last night.
ReplyDeleteLINDA, Lana suggests you do a systems restore, earlier in time than when you did update. go to text window on start bar and type in restore and it will give you instructions; this should search for everything. This might help Joan T
ReplyDeleteHi Joan, thanks, long time no hear, I did do a restore, but it brought me back to when I bought my computer in 2008, ugh. I think if I open in safe mode I may be able to get the photos, luckily I have the photos in my blog which I can recopy to my computer, there is something really bad going around because this is the first time I have had anything in all the time I have had this computer. thanks for the advice
ReplyDeleteGood luck... I hate it when I have puter problems.
ReplyDeleteHi Turquoisemoon, thanks, haven't had problems in so long I thought I was immune.
DeleteBarney knows where your stuff is hiding. In typical cat fashion he will never tell.
ReplyDeleteHi Dennis, thanks, he does have that secret smile doesn't he.
DeleteAck. So wonderful when they are working...
ReplyDeleteAnd so frustrating when they aren't. Good luck.
In my next life I plan to be a cat. One of mine, which may be difficult.
Hi Sue, thanks, ah yes to be a cat with a cat's life with a good owner.
DeleteAsk Barney to give you a hand...he probably will be able to fix it for you! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Lee, thanks if only he could, he is more interested in playing with his dangling mouse toy.
