Finally I was able to take the big and tall pots, the ribbon vessels in black and white as I had planned. I have a beige table cloth which might be better used as the background. I might do some rearranging and take a few more photos. We shall see if I can get around to setting up again.
OK, here is another shot with a couple of rearrangements. Photographing groups isn't easy. I move them around, take a few photos, run upstairs, crop them, look at them, then back downstairs and so on. Ha.
Here is another grouping. For reference the tallest pot is 17 3/4 and the shortest is 9 3/4 inches.
There isn't much room to spread the pots out any more than they are here. Once I get these glazed and fired I'll take another group photo. It will be fun to see the before and after photos.
The counter top drops down in the middle and the big and tall pots take up just about the whole space. This morning I am off to the last farmer's market of the season. Although next Saturday there is a special Future Farmer's of America sale which I plan on attending. Also the Kris Kringle Market is November 30th in the evening and during the day on November 31st. More details to follow. Thanks for reading and for all your comments.
I like the black backdrop, for its drama.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing the next installment.
Hi Elephant's Child, thanks, that's the exact reason I used the black backdrop - for it's drama.
ReplyDeleteAnother wonderful array showing your talents.
ReplyDeleteLinda...did you solve your hair-line crack problem? Perhaps go into WetCanvas and ask them the question. I'm sure someone in that site will be of great assistance to you. :)
Hi Lee, thanks, can't wait to glaze these, so far so good on the hairlie crack. we shall after firing.
ReplyDeleteWOW! That's a good looking group of pots. It looks like they will be fun to glaze.
ReplyDeleteHi Suzi, thanks, finally got the photo taken, I have a load of leaf dishes so I can experiment with glaze combos and will fire those first, then hope to have another group shot of the after, fingers crossed.
ReplyDeleteGreat looking display...and your new camera does a good job. Can't wait to hear how your glazing goes. These are super looking pots!
ReplyDeleteHi Barbara, thanks, I like how the white pots look against the black background. I took the photo under fluorescent lighting and it came out fine. it will be a while for these since I have another load to test first and then I have to figure out how to glaze such big pots. the one that worries me the most is the tallest one since the mouth is almost too narrow to get my hands down in there but maybe I can, we shall see.
ReplyDeleteYes, that display on the black background works very well. Good luck at the market.
ReplyDeleteHi Gigi, thanks, market went well, hope my next glazing does the same.
ReplyDeletegood to see you having fun with your new camera... perhaps you could thin your brush on glaze and roll it around the inside of your large pot?
ReplyDeleteHi Anna, thanks, I appreciate your advice, I will try that on the big pot.
