Garlic Chives

My garlic chives are blooming. I seem to remember those I grew in California had lavender blossoms.

Perhaps they weren't garlic chives, but just chives? Ok, I just looked up chives, the white and lavender flowered are two different species. Click on the chive link to see the punch of nutrition chives provide. The vitamin and mineral statistics for herbs truly amaze me.

    The only problem I have had with garlic chives is that they became extremely invasive.

    Hi Suzi, thanks, I have mine planted in ground cover cloth with bark over the top, we shall see if these reseed next year since they just bloomed.
