To pass the time, sometimes I peruse the marketplace on a social media site. Lately I've noticed quite a few pieces of precious jewelry for sale, even wedding rings. Today I saw a wedding ring on a very wrinkled hand. I just knew this was someone who needed money desperately. I perused the comments, and sure enough, the person needed a steering pump for their car. This is one of the reasons I feel akin to the blues genre of music. If I was a singer I'd sing the blues.
I leave you with "If I had Money" lyrics first then the song. Link provided in case the embedded doesn't work below. https://youtu.be/9_2FrmeV_Yg
If I had money
I'd buy those people a place to stay
If I had money
I'd buy those people a place to stay
But all I got is a dime
and I got so little time
That is so very sad.
ReplyDeleteHi Sue, thanks, you have no idea what I've been seeing in the undercurrents happening in my community let alone societies everywhere across the globe: selling shoes, baby clothes, dishes, kitchen utensils, and on and on, and lots of bartering; if we need something we try to buy it local from an individual to help folks out. And in the back of my mind, I fear we, too, will soon be in the same boat.
