What's First? What's Last?

What's first? What's last?
Today I cooked the last of the whole fish I'd frozen which
I purchased months ago at a fresh seafood market in Gainsville.
I don't even know what type of fish it was.
I need to implement a better freezing and labeling procedure.
I stuffed the fish with lemon and wrapped it in bacon.
I cooked it on the grill with some hickory chips on the coals.
The bacon keeps the skin from sticking to the grill grate.
I discoverd purple rice at Ingles and decided to try it.
That's a first!

I also purchased a small package of fresh oyster mushrooms
Another first!

I watched a couple of recipe videos on oyster mushrooms.
I decided saute the oyster mushrooms.
Oyster mushrooms peel into neat little strips.
I just grab the top and tear each one into as many strips as I can.
It pays to try new ingredients.
I love rice and could eat it every day.
This purple rice was slightly sweet and nutty.
The oyster mushrooms had a nice texture and were very flavorful.
Fish can never go wrong smoked on the grill.
Everything was super delicious!
