Tiny Bird's Nest

Tiny Bird's Nest.

When autumn came we noticed the nest.
It hung over the driveway with baby birds in the summer.

Now that it's time to prune the fruit trees,
we'll have to cut the branch down.

From the photos you'd think it was a large nest.

But Gary brought it to me and the interior is quite small.
Maybe 1.5 inches wide and 1.5 inches deep.
It was six feet off of the ground.

Do you know what type of bird made this nest?

Possibly a nuthatch or wren?
It isn't a hummingbird nest because they make more compact
nests with lichen and moss inside and out.
