“How lovely is the silence of growing things” - Evan Dicken

Variegated Yucca Bloom

This is only the second time for this yucca to bloom.
Can't wait. My other has never bloomed.

red hot poker

red salvia

coreopsis

spiderwort

foxglove and peony

first tomato, Black Prince

snow peas now flowering

pepper plants, parsley and marigolds

tomatoes and marigolds

eggplants are growing

dill in a pot

basil

dwarf dianthus

hardy iceplant

Birds Nest Spruce I planted the first year we moved here.
It is a dwarf conifer and grows very slowly.
It started out six inches in circumference;
It is now three feet around.
I'm pretty proud of this one.
If bought in it's current size
it would cost a pretty penny for sure.

  1. Watching things grow and bloom is always so exciting. Except the weeds. Which grow faster than any plant I know.
