In the last two days Gary saw lots of wild critters on our property. He saw a four foot corn snake which looks very similar to a copperhead but it is not. He followed it along the blueberries and then it disappeared into low lying shrubbery. It hissed and rattled it's tail but it is not poisonous in any way. I chose this image because this is the coloration the snake had. They come in quite a variety of colors.

Later that day he walked down the driveway and saw two rabbits eating grass alongside the road.
Next thing you know he saw a box turtle crossing the road in front of our property. Later that day he saw a black snake slither as best he could under our storage shed.
Wild critters live among us and just want to be left alone. Of course we saw birds, squirrels, hawks and who know what else. Please live in balance with mother nature. Images borrowed from the net.
Love your respect for the critters. I try to do the same.
ReplyDeleteHi Sue, thanks, I am always surprised at how many critters are living so close to us and yet we rarely see them
