Delicious Canned Green Beans
1 shallot chopped fine (can substitute a small onion)
dash of olive oil to sauté shallot
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1 heirloom tomato chopped medium
1 can cut green beans, drained
salt and pepper to taste
You can make canned green beans taste delicious. Sauté shallot till soft, add oregano to bloom. Next add chopped heirloom tomato. Aldi had Spanish heirloom tomatoes in a package of three; I used one. Cook till blended. Last add drained cut green beans and cook till warmed through. Don't overcook the green beans. Double or triple the recipe, if need be. Takes minutes to prepare. Delicious!
