This year we were surprised that the chipmunks
living here weren't eating the strawberries
which have escaped and are spreading happily.
The other day we discovered a baby
cottontail rabbit eating the strawberries.
There are lots of other plants for the rabbit
to eat around here but was surprised
the cottontail was hiding under a large
juniper plant and coming out to eat strawberries.

Happy May 1st to you all.

Hi Linda, it is lovely to catch up again with you after such a long time! Thank you for your comment on my blog, it was much appreciated. You certainly have some interesting visitors to your garden, and they must have a sweet tooth as they seem to enjoy strawberries! The baby cottontail rabbit is something that Beatrix Potter would have delighted in writing stories about. I'm thinking "The Tale of Peter Rabbit". I wonder if you will know it?
