Labor of Love, Cutting Our Cat's Toenails
It's a real chore cutting our cat's toenails.
When I try to cut them, he tries to bite me.
I finally got them all cut a few at a time,
with long breaks between cutting the nails of each foot.
Of course there he is all innocent looking,
lounging on the porch on the raised bed we got for him
That's my labor of love for Labor Day.
Proud of myself for that small but mighty accomplishment,
