The other day we were driving around and I saw this wonderful Japanese cut leaf red maple,
Acer palmatum, and this fir tree. They looked so lovely in contrast next to one another. The Japanese maple is about six feet across and four feet tall. There are so many cultivars of Japanese maples nowadays I hesitate to identify this one. One of the things I love about landscaping is achieving contrast in form, color, and shape in the landscape. Going back and seeing the landscape after it has matured is so satisfying. I love seeing plants grow and mature over time. Thanks for reading and for all your comments.
