Peak at the Studio & Where to Put the Kiln

Here's a quick view of the studio cabinets we installed this weekend. As I mentioned one of the drawer base cabinets was missing so we can't finish up till it comes in about a week.

We've got the countertop propped up with saw horses and some of my ware boards till we get the other base cabinet. I also have to get some longer screws for the knobs on the drawers this week. I even made a few pieces which I put in the cabinets to dry. I'll take photos to show you later today.

Can't wait to sit down at my new work space soon. I may even have to organize myself. Ha. But often I am more like this poem posted by Jenny Mendes today. Click on over to read Advice to Myself  by Louise Erdrich.

Advice Please - can I put my kiln outside on the back porch? The porch is covered above. I don't want to put it in the garage because it's under the house and even with a vent the fumes may radiate up into the house. Or should I put the kiln in a separate building, like a small shed? What do you think? Thanks for reading and for all your comments.
