Not sure if this actually qualifies as a monoprint on clay because it's more of a direct print of leaves on clay. Still I like the print quality of the leaf impressions. The leaf colors in this large bowl will fire darker than they appear here. A good number of pottery sales at the local Trash to Treasures venue are from folks who've already purchased my pottery there. Many ask are you going to be here next week? I think folks like the fact they can "count" on someone being there consistently week after week.
Yesterday (I wasn't there) Gary said a woman probably in her 80's came by the booth again and remarked how she loved my pottery but couldn't afford any. I asked Gary which piece she was looking at. Gary said she was looking at one of my meditation bowls (above). I said to Gary he should have given her one. I told him I'd make up a gift note because giving her a piece of my pottery is worth more than any money I've ever made from selling my pottery. Sadly she wasn't there the next day. Perhaps she'll be there next week; I hope so. Thanks for reading and for all your comments.
