Some of my old photographs have great subject material for my clay work either two or three dimensional. I like the peeling green paint on this old wagon. The wheels remind me of a piece I made in my RV.
Wish I had made one wheel removable on this piece with six wheels. I could have put a tealight candle inside and the light could have shown through the wheel spokes. I might have to make another one. I made the wheels roughly so they'd appear aged and glazed this piece unevenly to mimic a wear pattern on the edge of the wheels. I've admired many a ceramic candle holder others have made. You know the votive ones with holes where the light shines through. Then there's the lantern shaped ones. More possibilities for clay.
Frozen turkeys were fairly inexpensive so I purchased a turkey to roast. It took quite a few days to thaw out in the frig, but I finally cooked it. I figured I could freeze some and cooking would take less time so I'd have more time in the studio. We're all bringing appetizers for the show reception Friday evening, does anyone know a glutton free recipe for a turkey appetizer? Maybe something with cranberries would be good.
I've been in the process of reorganizing my blog over the last several months. Seems as though some blogs have disappeared from my roll so if you don't see yours please let me know and I'll add it in. Some of my own comments on my own blog have disappeared; then the other day I couldn't do any editing. Anyway I've moved the blog rolls to the bottom of my blog, but I can't seem to get them listed the way I want. Comments and suggestions always welcome.
