Carolina Mountain Bounty

We took a drive in the foothills of South Carolina the other day and passed by a roadside waterfall near Cleveland, South Carolina.
The falls fell into a shallow pool and continued over some slick rock and under a bridge.

On the way back home we stopped at a roadside stand and got some local peaches, blackberries, sourwood honey, and heirloom yellow and Cherokee purple tomatoes. A little further down the road we stopped at a roadside BBQ and got some hickory smoked pulled pork and vinegar slaw which we took home for dinner. We had the blackberries for dessert. Gary had some of the honey on his oatmeal the next morning and believe it or not I had the yellow tomato for breakfast. I'm letting the peaches soften just a bit. Everything was delicious. We had a day full of Carolina mountains bounty. Thanks for reading and for all your comments.
