All the birds and the bunny made it through the firing. As I was glazing the birds (which seems to take forever), I thought each bird might look nice displayed in a box with some excelsior like a nest.
Or if I had an antique soda box I could put a nest in each pocket with a bird. This would be an easy way to transport the birds to the farmer's market. Hum, with some rustic wood and a nail gun or stapler I could make my own display box.
Then I thought maybe I could put them in a small pinch bowl with some nesting material. But I think the bowl would distract from the bird.
Now I'm thinking I need to make some ceramic eggs to put in other nests. Making the natural shape of an egg probably isn't as easy as it seems. I never lack for ideas. Please don't hesitate to suggest any ideas for displaying the birds or for making birds nests!
I just remembered I found a real bird's nest when we lived near Mount Lassen.
I keep the nest in a cat tin. Not sure where this is at the moment. Probably in some drawer. Yesterday on facebook my memory photo was of Binky eight years ago lying out by the pool in Florida. Binky's been gone for four years now. How time flies. Boy does my mind wander. Thanks for reading and for all your comments.
