Lavender Shop & Studio
If you like gardening, here's the link to my previous blog, Springville Lavender Gardens. There's information about fruit and vegetable varieties, garden ornamentation and architecture, gardening in an arid climate, and recipes, too.
Herb Garden Pergola
Rosemary and lavender in the herb garden. These were planted from three inch pots. In three years they were huge. Grown on a south facing slope they had good drainage and plenty of sun.
Lavender Bicycle at Garden Entrance
Nothing like an old bicycle to jazz up the garden, a yard sale find for five dollars. With some spray paint and flowers planted in the basket, it's a perfect garden ornament. Have a good weekend.
Hi Linda- I hope things are being resolved and getting better!
ReplyDeleteThat was a lovely place out in CA.!
Aw Gawd, your looking back....are things gong better today? Jessie says this weekend is going to be particulalry bad, after that better.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful memories! Hope things are going better today...
ReplyDeleteHi Meredith, thanks, the first well guy said we needed a pressure tank, but something didn't sound quite right since the pressure gauge read fine. Second and third guys both said all we need is a filter. First guy sent me a bill for the "free" estimate. I'll be sending him a letter in reply. Filter is hardly any cost compared to the $900 the first guy quoted us. So things are looking up and we found a few more motorhomes to look at, can't wait for our eastern seaboard trip. not sure what to do about the insurance though, we're checking with other companies, but most seem the same.
ReplyDeleteHi Kitty, thanks, things are getting better, I just miss all my flowers and have none growing here only shrubs. Come fall I'll have time to plant a few. Outside entry tile to be done today; we're finishing interior and exterior painting. all work and no play makes me dull. ha.
Hi Turquoisemoon, thanks they are going much better now that I know we don't need a new well, thanks goodness. Thanks for checking in.
ReplyDeleteLinda, how beautiful your gardens were, and still are, really. What wonderful photos! I love that bicycle. Have a Great weekend. Hugs, Teresa
ReplyDeleteYeah, those photos are pretty incredible, but where are the photos of all the BACKBREAKING, lonely watering, weeding and tending...??? ha! I want to see some SWIMMING POOL/TIKI BAR photos of the new place ;o))

ReplyDeleteHi Teresa, thanks for the hugs, just what I needed. I love showing off my former gardens I nurtured from scratch.
ReplyDeleteHi Cindy, thanks, those tiki bar photos are coming up real soon, thanks for bringing me back to reality, just what I needed a gentle nudge from you.
Hi Kathrine and Kristen, thanks, yes the smell was heavenly and the lavender products are really wonderful, lotions, spritz, soap, oil, very beneficial and healthful. We're looking fora motorhome to take a trip up the Eastern seaboard of the US to visit my husband's cousin in New hampshire and on the way to stop off for the exciting ceramics show I will have work in along with 50 other potters in North Carolina., can't wait.

ReplyDeleteI love the aroma lavender. Am sure YOU know moths are repelled by lavender so no reason to ever use those horribly stinky moth balls.
ReplyDeleteWhat's in those things, really?
Cute pics!

ReplyDeleteHi Leezra, thanks, I know the moth balls are poisonous. Folks in Arkansas used to put them under their houses to ward off snakes.
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful memories! Take the good feeling of them with you I the present and you will create more of those beautiful memories for your future...
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend!
Hi Monique, thanks, that is excellent advice, the best use for our memories.
ReplyDeleteAs I read through your comments from this post, I was so impressed by the care and support by your readers, Linda. How nice. Everyone is rooting for you to find happiness and contentment in your new home. It's quite a transition from California to Florida, and is interesting to read about your acclimation. You've been working so hard and have experienced a lot of change. I'm wishing you a great weekend and some R&R!
ReplyDeleteLove your lavender garden and bicycle. What a delightful garden too. It must smell fantastic. Thanks for sharing your art and your photos.
ReplyDeleteHi Alteredbee, thanks, I don't live there any more, I now live in Florida, but it was a beautiful garden, hopefully it still is by the new owners.
