Bluebird Springs Park
Last Sunday I said to Gary, let's go check out Bluebird Springs Park in Homosassa. It was a short drive from our home. We went real early before the park got crowded. When we arrived we were the only ones there.
We walked around the lake and admired the calm waters and the sights and sounds of nature.
As we neared the other side of the springs, we could hear church bells chiming a hymn in the distance. Somehow the sound of the distant chimes was perfect for our morning walk.
If I lived closer I think I'd go there early in the morning every Sunday to walk around the park and listen to the chiming church bells in the distance. Thanks for reading and for all your comments.

Beautiful park ...
ReplyDeleteHi Robert, thanks, it's Sunday again and I was reflecting back on that Sunday, wishing I lived right next door and could walk over and hear the church bells ringing that hymn in the distance as if the sound was coming from the forest beyond. At the time we thought someone was playing their home stereo of the hymn but then when we left we drove around the corner and down the road a way and passed the church where the hymn had been playing.
ReplyDeleteHello Linda:
ReplyDeleteHow absolutely magical to have had this delightful park to yourselves. Your photographs convey such a tranquil and beautiful environment, surely the perfect place to reflect on life and recharge for the busy week ahead. And yes, the chiming bells in the distance would be music to our ears!!
Hi Jane and Lance, thanks, the chiming bells were just perfect and as I said to Robert, we surely thought someone had a stereo on and then discovered it was a church round the bend, one of those magical moments in life.
ReplyDeleteGreat depiction of peace. How wonderful to absorb it and share it with us.
ReplyDeletea wonderful way to start the day!

ReplyDeleteHi Barbara, thanks, didn't think of the day as peace but you are so right, that's what it was.

Hi Cindy, thanks, so very peaceful I guess that's why I can't stop thinking about it.
