Another day driving in the country near Lake Hartwell we saw a muskrat run across the road. Turned out we were on a dead end road. We turned around and on the way back we saw another muskrat running across the road.
There is so much wild life around here. You know I'd be making a sgraffito plate with bears and muskrats if I was working in my studio.
On the way home all I could think of was that song by Captain and Tennille called Muskrat Love. Thanks for reading and for all your comments.
Cute, of course now I'll have that song going through my head all day today. Hehehe.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you're really missing your pottery work.
ReplyDeleteAh, Ratty. I would have thought of Wind in the Willows.
ReplyDeleteI remember Bread did that song. Who was first?
ReplyDeleteI look forward to your bear and muskrat creations when you are able to pot again.
ReplyDelete"America" recorded a version of "muskrat love" in '73, prior to the Captain and Tenille hit. I don't think that Bread did a version.
ReplyDeleteI really like "America", but never cared for the muskrat love track.
Muskrats and bears. OH MY!
ReplyDeleteReal live muskrats. Whoda thought?
ReplyDeleteHooray! You keep seeing these wild animals. How lovely! I am surprised how large these muskrats are! (I have never heard of them until today!)
