The Cornish-Windsor Bridge is the longest covered bridge in the United States.
It's the longest two span bridge in the world.
Walk your horses or pay two dollars for a fine.
Driving though the bridge. Thanks for reading and for all your comments.
That's so great that they let cars go through a historic bridge! Must be well made.
ReplyDeleteMy reaction is the same. It appears to be trussed up overhead like the covered bridge near me; I wonder what's under the rubber on the road.
ReplyDeleteIt's interesting that you had to walk your horse but you can drive your car through it. It looks like a beautiful spot.
ReplyDeleteWonderful bridge....I have been following your travels and am enjoying seeing things I will probably never get to see....:)
ReplyDeleteThere are so many beautiful covered bridges in NH. If you get to Littleton, NH, in the White Mts. there is a really nice one there that crosses the Ammonoosuc River. It's not an old bridge - it was built in 2004 for foot traffic. Littleton is great little town to explore. Chutters store has the world's longest candy counter!
ReplyDeleteCovered bridges stir my heart. Incredible things... Thank you.
ReplyDeleteHi All, thanks so much, stay tuned for more scenes from New England area.
