Hand Woven Dish Towels

Look what my blogging friend, Joanne, Cup on the Bus, sent me - hand woven dish towels. These are so luxurious I am hesitant to use them to dry dishes. Thank you so much Joanne. The mysteries of work of artisans continuously surprise me. It amazes me that something so closely woven and soft could be woven on a loom. But then again it doesn't amaze me. Hand made items are made to last and the story goes the towels Joanne makes have lasted up to thirty years or more. To read about the hand woven dish towels, click this link.

I'm not sure how Joanne has time to make these towels let alone send them out through the mail. Joanne, is an inspiration to me, albeit to us all. She takes wonderful care of her live-in grandchildren and does a superb job of it. She also has an elected job at the local township. Besides that she writes an entertaining and well written blog. They say you should ask a busy person to do something because they'll get it done and Joanne is the epitome of that phrase. Thanks again Joanne.

  1. The true artisan's craft: that which is hand created with care to produce an object that can be used daily, and the quality of which shows good design and beauty! You are lucky to have those towels, Linda!
