I tried taking a photo but my zoom wasn't good enough to capture the bird at that distance and the bird blended into the hillside. Later I went outside to distract the bird from the location because it's a place my cats routinely pass by. Perhaps it was only foraging for food since it didn't return. If a bird's song could be painted I'm sure it would be very colorful. I was inspired to make a colorful joyful bird. Thanks for reading and for all your comments.

How pretty. I need to add it to my "life list" which I just learned about from birding friends.
ReplyDeleteHi Barb, thanks, life list, hum I am an amateur but I love learning about all the various birds, I can't imagine what it would be like without birds in nature.
DeleteIt is a happy bird.
ReplyDeleteHi Joanne, thanks, yes a happy bird indeed
DeleteWe have had LOTS of birds foraging for food in our side yard. It's comical to watch because they dig and flick leaves and pine needles into the air. Somedays there are what seems like 30+ birds out there.
ReplyDeleteHi Michele, thanks, the birds must have been foraging but I have never seen one stay in one place so long and I never did see it snatch up anything to eat. Perhaps there was a wealth of insects in that one spot.
DeleteNow that is a festive looking bird. We’ve had lots of birds in the yard lately, it’s been fun to watch them.
ReplyDeleteHi Lori, thanks, been so gray outside had to bring a little color to my life. Ha.
ReplyDeleteI like your bird themes. :)
