Thought you'd enjoy these pot houses. These are part of the Pottery Village B&B on Yeongheung Island in South Korea. If I were rich I'd have one of these as my pottery studio. Talk about putting your studio on the map.
I'm helping Gary at the Trash to Treasures sale today and Saturday is Farmer's Market. I made a few new pieces, will update you on those as soon as I take some photos. We also took a drive in the country to drink in mother nature and forget about the woes of the world. Thanks for reading and for all your comments.
LOVE those pot houses. Quirky and fun.
ReplyDeleteGood luck at the markets.
DeleteHi Sue, thanks, can you imagine staying in one, what fun.
DeleteThose are fabulous! I keep wondering what they are built from...if clay, how is it kept solid, if concrete (probably) how did they form it so beautifully. And decorated so cute too! How did you hear about them?
ReplyDeleteHi Barb, thanks, I saw the photo posted on fb and googled to try and find more info about them. they don't seem to have their own website.
DeleteIf they are clay... I really wonder how they were fired? Thanks for sharing them with us, Linda. So unusual.
ReplyDeleteHi Rian, thanks, I don't think they are clay but then again how do I know, they kind of remind me of straw bale construction methods with stucco on the outside.
DeleteOh these are beautiful! How about a miniature pottery village kind of like that? Well, there is nothing like a drive in the country to help clear our minds and help relax is there? Or just getting out where you can hear the birds sing.
ReplyDeleteHi Barbara, thanks, what good idea, a pottery village.
DeleteThey're terrific! And a great way to advertise one's craft and wares! There's no mistaking!
ReplyDeleteHI Lee, thanks, if only for these wonderful structures.
Deletethose are really cool! I will have to ask Jeff if he heard about these during his travels to S. Korea.
ReplyDeleteHi Michele, thanks, yes, perhaps Jeff heard of them.
