Tangerines
Yesterday I watched a powerful movie, Tangerines, about the Georgian war of 1992 where two wounded enemies learn mutual respect and humanity from the Estonian villager who selflessly takes them in and cares for them as they recover. Subtitled but well worth the effort. Thanks for reading and for all your comments.

ReplyDeleteI agree with EC but I don’t see us avoiding violence if D. Trump makes it into the Presidency.
ReplyDeleteHi Lori, thanks, in a perfect world turning the other cheek would be ideal but unfortunately I don't see how violence can be avoided no matter who becomes president, the world is filled with so many folks in every country who want to kill innocent people. The corportacracy could care less; they and the politicians aren't affected by policies they impose upon the populous at large; they are surrounded by body guards, alarm systems, private jets, they don't shop with the public nor send their children to public schools so the worry of terror and crimes, lack of jobs and rising costs has little effect upon their day to day lives or futures.
