Spring Fling Saturday

Tomorrow is the Spring Fling Celebration at the Union County Farmer's Market from 10 am to 2 pm. The day will feature ramps (wild onion), strawberries and beef. The ramps will be served in several different ways. I'll be in Booth 9 with my pottery for sale.

When I took the green wall tile above out of the kiln I thought this red leaf would look nice hung with it. What do you think? Should I leave the wall tile plain or add the leaf? I plan to add a leather cord through the leaf and then up through the top of the tile. Below more pottery from this kiln load.

 oval planter 3in high x 13 in long x 4 3/4 in wide
(might keep this one; imagine succulents planted sitting on a windowsill)

 mini vase

 candle holders - I'll put soy wax in these

 business card holders in various colors

 alligator platter

 owl plate (although his face looks bat like; also darker than I planned) 

 kaleidoscope fern platter
 (but the red underglaze bubbled up through the clear glaze - strange?)
(I sponged on the underglaze, not sure if that made a difference)

large green leaf plates

 large red leaf plates

ornaments (wanted the snowmen cobalt to be lighter)

Remember Sunday is Mother's Day. My mom passed away several years ago at 89 but I still miss her. Thanks for reading and for all  your comments.

    I think missing our mothers when they have gone is a life long thing.
    I hope your market goes really, really well.
    I think I like the leaf and the wall tile separately, but it is such an individual thing...

    I'm suite impressed with the batch. And, add the leaf. I've thought of my mom a lot this last month.

      Hi Joanne, thanks, been a long time since I fired, just about wore myself out getting all this done this week but finally done. My mom and I were such good friends.

    those business card holders look great.. I should design some myself... what did you decide about the tile and leaf? the colours go well together...

    Hi Anna, thanks, I haven't gotten around to that one yet, but will post again when I do. The business cards often need a business card in them or folks tend not to know what they are. I had six displayed with one business card in one and the lady picked it up and had a quizzical look on her face, lol.
