While I was waiting for the kiln to cool down yesterday I decided to paint on a rustic wood panel. I painted this colorful cat. Meow! The wood is lying down so it looks a little skewed but in person it's fine. Still have to drill the holes, varnish, and insert the rope hanger.
Stay tuned tomorrow for some pottery fresh from the kiln. It's mostly rectangular plates and a few vases and toothpick holders.
I'm gearing up for two shows this weekend. I have to decide on how to divide up the pottery for each show. I wanted tablecloths to match at each show. I have enough for one, but the other I had only one black tablecloth. I couldn't find a another black one so I got a fabric shower curtain which will work out. Both shows overlap on one of the days. How can I manage that? Gary will man one of them for me. Hate to miss out on the last selling weekend of the year. Thanks for reading and for all your comments.
Good sales to you, Linda! And for us too! I've got just one more after these 2...and don't have a Gary to man one of them...but mine are Fri and Sat back to back.
ReplyDeleteHi Barbara, thanks, we'll both need a week to recover all those hours, one of mine is two days 8 hours each day and the other one is one day and 5 hours, Gary is doing the five hour one and it is out of doors, the other one is indoors.
ReplyDeleteIt's a great cat. And, you have great sales at the last two shows.
ReplyDeleteHi Joanne, thanks, I've decided my paintings need to be colorful especially the animals.
DeleteI hope your sales are WONDERFUL. And the cat is a charmer.
