These are the mugs from the last firing. I thought they were so big. Turns out they aren't large enough for today's taste in large mugs. I can never judge how much larger greenware looks than the finished piece. They're perfect if you want to limit your caffeine intake. Perhaps they are child sized. Ha.
Gary said this one leans. No it doesn't lean, the top is slanted. I prefer the thicker handles to this thinner one.
I'll have to fill these with water and see how much liquid they hold.
I like them with this wider circumference and more layers like this one.
Another thin handle, thicker feels better in the hand.
This one and the lavender one are perhaps the size of a large espresso. It's supposed to be 85F today. Yikes, no Spring, directly into Summer. Thanks for reading and for all your comments.
It is so hard to think when creating a mug how it will shrink so much. Maybe a combination is possible between the thick and the thin handles?
ReplyDeleteHi Barbara, thanks, I'll be giving it another go soon.
ReplyDeleteA large espresso isn't very big. I've never thought about the ins and outs of potting.
ReplyDeleteHi Joanne, thanks, I never did either till I started making pots. Ha.
DeleteNo excuses for not having that morning coffee! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Lee, thanks, no, no excuses at all.lol
DeleteI really like the sixth one in particular. And prefer my handles on the thicker side.
ReplyDeleteHi Sue, thanks, I like the somewhat thicker ones but not too thick, I guess everyone has their own preference.
DeleteNice colors for those mugs.
ReplyDeleteHi Gigi, thanks so much, hope the VOG isn't getting over to you.
