The Face of Disaster

Each time a natural disaster occurs we see the devastation. This photo spoke to me. All living beings band together to survive. Folks are told to evacuate but many cannot. No car, no money, no place to go. Shelters are full. Evacuations take 12 hours, people have 4 hours of fuel in their cars. Fuel stations along the way are empty. Not everyone can evacuate even if they want to. FEMA, State, military, first responders and volunteers rush in to help. Thank goodness for all volunteers. Thank goodness for humanity helping every living being. We have been spared but others are not so lucky.

  2. Sigh. And the millions of people affected by Typhoon Mangkhut barely get a mention. They will feel the impact for a very long time.

    1. Hi Sue, thanks, I confess I heard about the Philippines but not it hitting China, sadly our news in the USA is more local than global and for me the danger so close is more consuming because of the constant news coverage.
