There's a Killer in our House

There's a killer in our house. The killer is Bonkers. He discovered this stuffed animal, a bear, on a shelf and knocked it down. Then he carried it around, occasionally stopping to attack it by biting it on the neck.
Apparently cats have the instinct to be killers; it's natural to them.
I bought a couple more soft toys but Bonkers prefers the bear. Perhaps because the bear has an actual neck to attack. Our house is littered with cat toys, each week there is a new favorite.

In other news the kitten which was abandoned here on our doorstep is doing well in his new home. The woman who got him connected with me on fb and said he grew to be a giant. Good to hear he got a good home. We hated to see him go but at the time Barney didn't want any other cats here especially a male cat. Time seems to be just flying by. Thanks for reading and for all your comments.

  1. The minute I saw the title, I figured it was Barney. So he's providing food for the family. I'm waiting to see what recipe you come up with for Stuffed Bear...

  2. Hi Barbara, thanks, you should see him biting the bear and kicking his legs and paws and then carrying the bear around like a proud lion. ha.

  4. Good news that the kitten has a loving home and loving servant. :)

Bonkers is bonkers over his bear by the looks of it. :)

  7. Our cats carry around the tiny toy mice or the huge stuffed rat in their mouths... and howl at the same time! And I've heard some people say their cats never play with toys, but even if we put all their cat toys in a basket at night - in the morning they are spread all over the house.
So apparently some cats do... like Bonkers.

  8. Hi Rian, thanks, lucky they have something to play with at night otherwise they'd be getting into trouble.
