Turkey & Papaya Salsa Wrap

Turkey papaya salsa wraps are versatile, and delicious. Make the papaya salsa the day beforehand. Use one papaya, two poblano peppers blistered skinned and chopped, 1/4 onion chopped and 6 mini peppers chopped, one lime zested and juice squeezed, and 3/4 cup of cilantro leaves. Mix all but cilantro. Add cilantro the next day.
Next day saute ground turkey till cooked thoroughly but not dry. Of course I added salt, pepper, red pepper flakes, fennel seed and paprika. I apologize for the out of focus photo but you get the idea. Place the cooked ground turkey on the wrap and add the salsa and wrap them up. Slice in two and serve. No need for any dressing because the salsa makes the wrap juicy enough.
If you don't want a wrap, make it a salad. If you don't want turkey, how about some black beans or garbanzo beans or just plain papaya salsa. Oh so delicious. Click here for the nutrition information of cilantro. I amazed myself at how good cilantro is for your health. More of the Vitamin K like radicchio and also tons of Vitamin A. Researching the nutritional benefits of the vegetables I eat makes me even more likely to eat more veges. Thanks for reading and for all your comments.

  1. That particular salsa is not for me. I loathe cilantro leaves, their scent and their flavour. Which is odd because I happily use the seeds (ground or whole).
