Since it's pouring rain we'll be at the farmers market today with less than the usual amount of pottery. The other day I saw this tattered luna moth on the window.
The moth reminded me of the luna plate above I made many years ago. Thanks for reading and for all your comments.
I have never seen these moths, and delight in photos of them. Your plate is a beauty too. I hope that, despite the rain, the markets go well.
ReplyDeleteHi Sue, thanks, the market was pretty much a bust for us and many others, it really poured. These moths are very large so a real treat to see.
DeleteThough it didn't rain until just before market closing (at noon) the potters didn't set up for our Tailgate this week. They are taking care of themselves! I hope you had some sales, and next week will be better weather. Hope we don't all wash away down the creeks before then!
ReplyDeleteHi Barbara, thanks, it's feast or famine with the rain isn't it.
DeleteSorry to hear about the rain :(
ReplyDeleteHi Hena, thanks, we needed it because we'd been dry for almost two weeks.
DeleteThat is such a pretty plate, and I hope you have enough rain but not too much, especially with your pottery business. I have never actually seen a lunar moth except in a butterfly enclosure but that was years ago. Have a great week :)
ReplyDeleteHi Denise, thanks, oh these moths are the most beautiful color green and their antenna are feathery.
ReplyDeletePoor, little, raggedy moth.
