Balsamic Molasses Braised Pork Roast
A couple of weeks ago I made a balsamic molasses braised pork roast in the oven. The photo is before putting it in the oven. I added potatoes and apples. I cooked it at 300 F for three hours. I'll make this roast again because it was so delicious and moist as well. I won't add apples again because they cooked down to mush due to the length of cooking time. Next time I'll use carrots instead. Thanks for reading and for all your comments.

OOO, how delicious!
ReplyDeleteHi Barbara, thanks, I like making things that have multiple portions so I don't have to cook every day.
ReplyDeleteWe love roast pork here. I've never tried a molasses glaze, but I imagine it would be good. I have brushed molasses on bacon before and use it in my home-made nutty granola. And I do have a recipe where I use brown sugar, butter, and garlic on pork chops!
ReplyDeleteHi Rian, thanks, I have never braised in the oven before, it was much better than roasted. I bread my pork chops with egg and gluten free break crumbs and they are wonderful.
DeleteMultiple portions and left overs are always a winner here.
ReplyDeleteHi Sue, thanks, I am now trying to use up all of the winter frozen soups to start all over again.
DeleteThe roast looks and sounds delicious, Linda. You could add the apples during the last 30-35mins of cooking. Move them around in the juices when you add them.
ReplyDeleteParsnips would be a good addition, too, I imagine.
Deleteyes that would be a good addition, even rutabagas or sweet potatoes
