Stainless Steel Stockpot 12 Quart

You may know I'm always on the lookout for bargain. I saw this stainless steel copper bottom 12 quart stockpot for sale on marketplace for a very reasonable price. I purchased it to supplement my ancient collection of kitchen ware.

Thinking back I remember most of my kitchenware is over 30 years old. New items seem to break or wear out so easily. Yet old items seem to last and last. What item or items do you have which have  amazed you at their longevity?

  1. What a great find.
One of my kitchen knifes was old when my father gave it to me - more than thirty years ago now.

  2. Hi Sue, thanks, and a good kitchen knife can be sharpened over and over again and put to good use.

  3. That's a good looking pot. May you make many happy meals in it.
I think the oldest cookware I have is my cast iron most of which I got from my mother and her mother, my nana. I also cherish my carbon steel knives some of which are inherited and some of which were gifts many years ago.

    1. Hi Suzi, thanks, there is a cast iron group on fb always talking about their finds and restoring the pieces they get, some of way too many pieces imho that they just display and don't even use, I call that hoarding, lol

  5. That's a gorgeous stockpot, hope it lasts you a long time. I still have the 2 small Revere Ware copper bottom pans my Grandma gave me when I went away to college in 1962. I have other stainless cookware that I have used for 30 years, but when I want to heat water for just a cup of tea, I reach for the little Revere Ware & I feel a hug from my Granny.
