Dandelions
I
f you see a dandelion in your lawn, be happy, if you see many dandelions, be even happier. Dandelions are one of the first wildflowers to bloom in spring and provide bees with valuable nutrition after a long winter, not only that but dandelion greens and flowers are edible, and dandelion roots can be made into a tea. ReplyDeleteHi Sandi, thanks, yes and so good for us
DeleteI haven't had the tea. Yet. And there are plenty of dandelions here. I even like their clocks - though I resist blowing them.
ReplyDeleteHi Sue, thanks, I used to blow them when I was a kid, it was quite fun
DeleteI love dandelion greens in a good salad. Yet another reason to avoid pesticides and weed killers.
ReplyDeleteDandelion wine is nice too.
Hi Suzi, thanks, yes no pesticides or weed killers here.
DeleteThere are hundreds of dandelions blooming all over the grounds surrounding my humble little abode. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Lee, thanks, free food for you and for the bees, lol
