Sometimes I have ingredients I want to use
but they don't usually go together, who cares?
That's why today's meal is called "A Mixed Bag."
Speck wrapped cheese stuffed dates, baked,
Steamed asparagus, and
Purple rice sprinkled with parsley.
Fruit, vegetable, and starch all in one meal.
The asparagus were thicker than I usually get
but I found what they say is true
thin asparagus are not necessarily more tender.
The purple rice looks almost black
supposedly full of antioxidants.
