Aralia spinosa or Devil's Walking Stick
In my quest to find staghorn sumac
I came across this plant on a backwoods drive.
It is not staghorn sumac but it
is a beneficial plant none the less.
Devil's Walking Stick refers to the
thorny protuberances on the stems in mid season.
Always curious and always grateful to
learn of another beneficial plant.
