East Indian Tomatillo Pickles
6 fresh tomatillos, cut in 8ths
8 fresh garlic cloves
1 teaspoon chili powder
2 teaspoons mustard powder
1/2 teaspoon turmeric
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup oil: corn, sesame, or peanut
Mix ingredients well, cover and refrigerate for 36 hours. Stir once or twice each day. We shall see
