Pickled Cherry Tomatoes

1 pint cherry tomatoes, pierced through with skewer
1 clove garlic chopped
1 half serrano pepper seeded and chopped
1 teaspoon celery seed
1 teaspoon dill seed
1/2 teaspoon whole black peppercorns
1 cup apple cider vinegar
1 cup water
1 tablespoon pickling salt or kosher salt
1 tablespoon granulated sugar

Pierce each cherry tomato from stem end through to other end. This is so pickling liquid can penetrate tomatoes. Add first six ingredients into pint canning jar. Meanwhile heat vinegar, water, salt, and sugar till solids are dissolved. Pour wet ingredients over cherry tomatoes in jar. Refrigerate one week before trying. Trying all kinds of recipes for cherry tomatoes to use them up. We shall see about these next week. I'll report back.

Cherokee Purple Tomatoes with Basil Gremolata

Gary said he'd only take two as he wasn't hungry.
Later we split all the remaining tomatoes.
Can't always believe a man when they say they aren't hungry.

Slice your tomatoes into quarter inch slices

Meanwhile mince two garlic cloves, chop one cup basil leaves,
add 1/4 to 1/2 cup olive oil to blender depending upon how much basil.
Whirl in blender till well blended.
 Pour out and add 1/2 cup gf bread crumbs and
 1/2 cup grated parmesan or asiago cheese.
Stir well and serve. Quick and oh so delicious.
