
Bourbon Sorghum Vinaigrette
1 tablespoon bourbon
1 tablespoon sorghum syrup
2 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1/3 cup olive oil
salt and pepper to taste

Shake all ingredients in a mason jar or whisk all together. Pour over salad of your choice. I am using Napa cabbage. You can double or triple the recipe if you wish. We have a sorghum festival in our town and it is also carried in a mom and pop grocery locally. Sorghum syrup boasts more nutrition than molasses or maple syrup. The canes are cooked and the syrup is extracted from the canes, much like sugar cane.
