While I was at the Trash and Treasures sale the past two days I came across this small concrete white rabbit, I had to bring him home with me. More and more folks are approaching me for pottery lessons. Since our driveway is steep and there isn't much parking it could be a problem having classes at my home. Each person could come individually which doesn't make my time very efficient.
I started thinking about forming an art guild and center here in town much like the Helen Art Center that I belong to. The one in Helen is a 45 minute drive from here so that isn't cost effective for me or others to keep driving to. What do you think? I have enough supplies to outfit the clay portion. I was approached by a water color artist about joining in and I'm sure there are other folks who'd be interested.
The folks in Helen have their building rent donated to them. Hum. That's what I'd need to start an art center here, someone who'd be willing to donate the rent on a building. Also other artists willing to donate their time to help run the center. I'll stop in to see the Chamber of Commerce on Monday to see if they know of any options available around here. This might be more work than I am able to do but no harm in exploring the possibilities. Thanks for reading and for all your comments.
