Here are my
North Georgia Candy Roaster squash and
Cherokee Black Bean seedlings. Only one black bean didn't germinate. I'll let these get a few more leaves and then I'll plant them.
This is the odd but functional potting bench. I don't have to bend over to tend the seedlings and the plastic top is high enough where I don't hit my eyes on the contraption and the sun can get to the seedlings. We got this made just in time all this week it's supposed to rain. On the lower shelf I could start other seedlings.
These are sunflower seedlings; I may have put too many in the pots. One pot didn't germinate. I've been thinking about getting a packet of
Chinese red noodle beans to grow.
Don't these look beautiful? The pods are edible and supposedly they keep their color when sauteed.
We were so proud of ourselves building the potting bench we decided to use up even more leftover lumber and build a storage bench for under the patio. We have some leftover formica from the studio which we'll cut to put a top on this bench. When I use the smoker I can put it on top. Meanwhile I've been preparing for a group of pottery students. I even have a curriculum put together. Hope you remember to say
