Endlessly curious I noticed a stuffed deer in a real estate office recently. I thought the deer was covered in cowhide. The color and texture of the hide unlike any deer I've ever seen or heard about. The receptionist said the deer was a piebald, a rare coloration.
The owner of the real estate company had fed the deer for years enjoying the rare beauty of the animal. Much to the owner's dismay, a hunter shot the deer one afternoon. Saddened by the loss of his beloved deer, the owner had the piebald deer stuffed and put in the reception area of his office. Usually I hate to see animals stuffed but in this instance I think the educational benefits outweigh my morbid thoughts.
We made an offer on another home, hopefully this will be the one. Perhaps the piebald deer will bring us the luck we're looking for. Hope you are all well. Sorry I haven't been commenting as much recently but I've been spending much of my time looking and I have to set up my computer at various free locations to access the internet. Hopefully I'll have more time soon. I am reading your blogs and have been keeping up with your busy preparations for the holiday seasons. Thanks for reading and for all your comments.
