Florals at Saint-Gaudens

Here are some of the florals we saw at Saint-Gaudens historic site and home. Every room seemed to have a floral arrangement.

Years ago I took several semesters of floral arranging and every since then I've been drawn to arranging especially with uisng unique containers and materials, like the pitcher and pine branches used here.

This arrangement was in the bathroom. What a unique base to the container.

This is the cutting garden.

Above is the grain amaranth; it's quite ornamental isn't it? I never got around to putting in my cutting garden this year but I have the space cleared and will plant next Spring. Up next a tour of Hemmings Motor News museum in Vermont. Thanks for reading and for all your comments.
