Yesterday I made big and little pieces. Here's the big leaf I wanted to try. It's 18 x 8 inches. I still want to go even bigger but the slab only allowed this size.
Later I made a little pot which is just 2 1/2 inches tall. More work to do today. Thanks for reading and for all your comments.
That title pot has presence!
ReplyDeleteHi Suzi, thanks, folks really like the little ones, my fingers felt like they were uncoordinated making it, lol.
DeleteI like the leaf platter. It looks kind of 'Hawaiian'... and I've found that people like leaf forms.
ReplyDeleteHi Rian, thanks, the smaller leaves I usually make are really popular so I thought I'd try my hand at some larger ones.
DeleteI am endlessly amazed (and delighted) at the myriad of shapes and textures of leaves. And suspect they have given inspiration for many artiss.
ReplyDeleteHi Sue, thanks, this last one I drew free hand since I didn't have a leaf that size; my neighbors have some of those big elephant ears but I think they are too large to fit in my kiln, if only they would
ReplyDeleteI do like the look of these and am looking forward to seeing the finished products. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Lee, thanks so much.
