You know if I go to the ER it's serious; especially since I don't need any more medical bills. Heck any bills for that matter. My symptoms were a severe headache which came on extremely suddenly like my head was in a vice grip. I never get headaches and haven't had one for years. Aspirin didn't do a thing for the headache and then later I threw up several times. I was worried I was going to have a stroke. After a cat scan I was thankful I didn't have a stroke, but my blood pressure has skyrocketed extremely high. Extreme blood pressure can damage your organs.
Meanwhile I'm back at home still with a, not as bad, headache but thankful to know what's wrong with me. No more coffee or salt. I only have one cup of coffee a day anyway and rarely salt my food except when I make soups, no fast food and no eating out at restaurants, so no problem there. Oh and I should limit my stress, Seeing all the folks who have unfriended, blocked me, or removed my blog from their blog lists doesn't help. I guess they weren't really friends anyway. Worrying about all the things that keep breaking and how to pay for them doesn't help either, like the dishwasher and now the car's air conditioning.
Meanwhile Gary went to get my prescription and he has to take Barney to the rabies clinic this morning. The rabies shot is only $10 so that's a savings. This county has a lot of incidence of rabies so it's important.
Before all this happened yesterday I did make some square soap dishes above. Or they could be bread and butter plates or have so many other uses. Oh and when they gave me my IV they were going to put it in my hand and I said would you mind putting it in my arm, I do pottery and my hands are often in water. Ha. Thanks for reading and for all your comments.
Oh gosh! Take care of yourself and keep making pottery. It's great for a stress! I especially like to break bad pieces when I feel things are out of control! HA! Life sure does have a way of making us step back and take a bigger look at things! By the way, I enjoy your blog and read it every day!
ReplyDeleteHi Pam, thanks so much, yes taking a step back, watching my diet, more exercise and less fb and watching the news. Ha.
DeleteI am sorry to hear that your blood pressure skyrocketed.
ReplyDeleteTake care.
Hi Sue, thanks, it was dangerously high; glad I went to the ER about it.
DeleteYes, please do what the doctors suggest.
ReplyDeleteHi Joanne, thanks, this was a wake up call I think.
DeleteSo glad that you went to the ER and found out what was wrong.
ReplyDeleteUnfriending those who disagree with us can lead to a lonely life. I prefer to concentrate on the overlaying interests we have in common!
Hi Suzi, thanks, that's my preference. Glad I found out what was wrong and I am now keeping a list of my dietary intake and my BP readings to take to a doctor next week.
