Yesterday I noticed a small piece of wood sitting on the forest floor. I gathered it up to take a closer look.
Pale cream and grey mushrooms look like shells clinging to a rock.
Perhaps a spider or small beetle makes his home under one.
Pastel green lichen peel and furl on the bark. It's all in the details and once again I am easily entertained by nature. Thanks for reading and for all your comments.
Oh Linda, that's so beautiful! Thanks for taking photos and sharing it. Nature cannot be outdone!
ReplyDeleteHi Barbara, thanks, I was wondering if anyone would feel like I do or would they think I'm crazy. Ha.
DeleteIntricate and lovely. Nature is the very best artist.
ReplyDeleteHi Sue, thanks, I thought about trying to make a piece like this in clay but I am sure I couldn't even come close to the details.
DeleteWhat a wonderful little treasure. I thought at first it was shells on a rock, then looked closely to see that miniature world.
ReplyDeleteThere's a lot inspiration there!
What an intriguing piece. Nature is amazing...and humbling. :)
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, this is beautiful. I love the color green of that lichen.
