Fried Shallot Rings


Perhaps you recall my trying to bake shallots and they burned.
This time I decided to try fried shallot rings.
I sliced them and broke them up into rings.
Then I dipped them in buttermilk, then dredged in gluten free flour.
I heated a small frying pan with peanut oil.
When the oil was good and hot I dropped the shallots in.
I turned them over to brown the other side.
Then I let them drain on a paper towel.
Garlic and onions don't agree with Gary so I ate them all.
I can see some fried onion rings in my future.
