Goldenrod Blossoms for Dyeing

Goldenrod Blossoms for Dyeing

Gary brought home a big bag of goldenrod flowers for me
to use to make a dye bath for bandanas I plan to dye.
No, goldenrod does not cause allergies.
Goldenrod pollen is not airborne but spread by bees.
Ragweed is the culprit which blooms the same time as goldenrod.
Stay tuned for more info on my dyeing experiments.

Goldenrod can be used to make a paste for healing wounds,
also can be used as a tea, and the leaves contain a rubber.
Edison experimented with the rubber making properties,
but he passed away before perfecting his experiments.
Mother Nature has much to offer us we just have to experiment.
