Stir Fried Romaine Lettuce

 

  • 1 tablespoon oil
    1
     inch ginger knob fresh , peeled and grated.
  • 3 cloves garlic peeled and minced
  • 2 hearts of romaine lettuce, washed, dried and cut into about 2 inch segments.
  • salt and white pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon rice wine (shao xing) or cooking sherry
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • ½ teaspoon dried chili flakes, to taste - optional
    1 tablespoon soy and white miso - optional

Stir fry lettuce in oil. When wilted add remaining ingredients and stir fry till ingredients are melded. I never thought to stir fry romaine, but it was quite tasty and easy to make. Serve immediately.
